Pocket-sized gem!

I got this to use as an adjunct to all my other review books to study for my FNP licensing exam. Compact and succinct, this book is a little gem. Literally pocket-sized, this book is a great size to fit in a lab coat and peruse during your 'free' time. I love the many algorithms and pearls of wisdom. I would heartily suggest this book to my fellow DNP students.

decent review for Step 3

This book has a niche, in that it really is dual-use: boards and wards. It also is general enough to cover most subjects, but specific enough for you to get most of the questions right on Step 3. There are some minor errors, but nothing too bad. But if you're studying for step 2 or trying to do really well on step 3, you should supplement with other material (in addition to Uworld).

The Turners, a sister-and-brother team, trump standard alphabet books with this singular story, which concludes as the battling letters finally unite to fight a greater foe: a giant, illegible scribble. Priscilla Turner's inventive wordplay is an exercise in pronunciation, as when the Consonants send in "the freezing BR's." Whitney Turner's expressive Vowels and Consonants posture with stick arms and legs and the merest hints of facial features. Grade 2-4?Narrated in a pseudo-serious tone, this is the fable of vowels and consonants who do not get along. There is terrible bickering and constant rivalry between them. Finally, war is declared and a conflagration occurs complete with dive-bombing T's, marching D's, spear-tossing J's, and paratrooper U's. Amid the fighting, a scrawling, formless chaos appears. Individually, the letters cannot halt the scratching threat of disaster, but when they cooperate and form actual words, the jumbled scrawl at last rolls out of town. This is a stilted attempt to teach about vowels and consonants through adult humor. Shaping actual letters into characters with spindly arms and legs and headless faces is too cute, and the story line falls flat. The colorful, busy watercolor illustrations do little to pick up the story. There is a condescending tone that children will see through, and they'll find little to enjoy in this obvious grammar lesson. highly visual

My 5 year old BEGS to read and re-read this book over and over! It is highly visual and the illustrations are of good quality. The story is so interesting that she keeps taking the information and taking the storyline in different directions of her own creation. Talk about synthesising! Did I mention that she is a VERY picky consumer of books? If she doesn't like 'em she's adamant about not having anything to do with them. This one's a winner!

It was a gift to several graduates. As the extended families of these graduates get a chance to see the bible more and more are buying it and using it. I just made a trip to Israel to study and the archaeology notes line up well with what we saw and heard from some the top Israeli guides we had. So, get or give it away.

a great tool for new or mature Christians

There are certain authors whose names are associated with great books. Josh McDowell is one such author, and his son seems to be following in his footsteps. The two of them combined their efforts and came out with a great book and tool. They cover a lot in this book, 77 topics in all, and answer them in a Biblically-based way.

The book is split into two sections. The first section is all questions about God, and the second section are all questions about the Bible. The topics/questions cover about everything you can think of - some examples given above, and the authors do a great job of answering them in a way that doesn't still leave questions. This is the kind of book that would be great for new Christians, but none of us know everything we need to know, so this would be good for the most mature Christians among us. I have been reading the Bible since I was a kid, attended church, Christian school, and Bible college, and I still had some questions - some of them covered in this book.

First person account of his life in Flushing from age 6 to age 10. He was fascinated with railroads, but it was the car which changed things. We loved it because we lived in Flushing 50 years later. But it is good for everyone.

About the Author
Michael S. Schadewald, Ph.D., CPA, is on the faculty of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where he teaches graduate courses in multistate and international taxation. A graduate of the University of Minnesota, Professor Schadewald is a co-author of several books on multistate and international taxation, and has published more than 30 articles in academic and professional journals, including the CPA Journal, Journal of Taxation, The Tax Adviser, TAXES: The Tax Magazine, International Tax Journal, International Tax Notes, and Journal of International Accounting, Auditing and Taxation. Professor Schadewald has also served on the editorial boards of Journal of the American Taxation Association, International Journal of Accounting, International Tax Journal, Issues in Accounting Education, and Journal of Accounting Education. Robert J. Misey, Jr., J.D., LL.M., M.B.A., is a shareholder in the law firm of Reinhart, Boerner, Van Deuren s.c. in Milwaukee. Mr. Misey focuses his practice in the areas of international taxation, transfer pricing, and tax controversies. He previously worked as an attorney for the IRS seving with the IRS Chief Counsel (International) in Washington D.C. and as a large-case attorney in the Western and Southeast Regions. He also worked as a member of Deliotte & Touche's International Tax Services Group and has tried 23 cases before the U.S. Tax Court. Doesn't Matter What Other People Think

Bound was a delightful stepbrother romance where I really enjoyed Jessica going after what she wanted....Tate. The only problem was Tate wasn't willing to go down that road with her until she very convincingly changed his mind and showed him how well they fit/belonged together. I was so glad Tate went after Jessica and proved to her that it doesn't matter what other people think, only what is in their hearts. If you like to read books about a stepbrother with just a hint of light kinky play then this is the book for you! I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good book to read.

Marie Carnay writes sex scenes which are so hot. This stepbrother romance is emotional and sexy. Step siblings who only met as adults when their respective parents marry - meaning they are really no relation at all - realise they both have spec needs. A model, she needs to be dominated to feel love and her DJ stepbrother is dominant and can't find the right girl. Worried about their careers and the stigma a relationship might bring, she runs away. But he follows and shows her they're bound to be together.

Really enjoyed reading this stepbrother book. The characters were easy to like and understand their feelings. Jessica knows what she wants and goes after him, her stepbrother Tate. But Tate believes it is wrong until Jessica taunts him until he sees how right it could be. But disaster strikes after a night of the best sex for either of them. Will Tate be able to bring Jessica back around?
You will love the ending for sure.

In doing so, this book provides important new insights into the religion and culture of ancient Iran prior to the Islamic conquest."
